On April 17-19, 2001, a conference titled "The Real Estate Sector in the 21st Century" was held at Istanbul Çırağan Hotel. Supported by the SPK, GRI, and TOKI, the conference was attended by the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Tourism, the State Minister, and the Mayor of Istanbul. Despite the challenging economic conditions in our country, the large attendance at the conference created significant results in terms of demonstrating the impact of our association. Thanks to the relations established with GRI, MIPIM, Barcelona Meeting Point, and ULI, 48 participants from abroad attended the internationally organized conference, which attracted significant attention in the press. An additional publication on the conference was prepared in both English and Turkish and distributed to various institutions. A fair with stands was organized as part of the summit, and reciprocal relationships were established with MIPIM, GRI, and Barcelona Meeting Point, who were invited to participate in the conference and the exhibition. Sessions were held on the construction sector and new technologies in the 21st century, the real estate sector as the locomotive of the economy, new trends in real estate, and Turkey.
